[Hayden Phoenix is sitting on top of some crates backstage. The crates are marked RWD as a couple of them are open next to him with video and audio equipment waiting to be removed. Various workers walk past Phoenix during what appears to be the hustle and bustle preparing for the next episode of Sunday Night Combat. There is televisions that are setup in these "staging" areas for performers to watch the live feed backstage, and that is where Phoenix was able to watch what The Prince had to say. The promo by The Prince ends and Hayden has a smirk on his face]
The fact that you keep bringing up beating Kruzer and how we are both Canadian, that goes to show what kind of man you are; living in the past and ignoring the present. We both are opponents of yours, yes. We both are performers, yes. We both are Canadian, yes. But that is exactly where the similarities end. For YOUR sake "Prince", forget about what happened at From The Ashes and put your focus on ME. You have yet to face ME and I am going to take you to the ends of your own skills, talent, and limits. I bring everything that I have to that ring, and just because I do not let you get under my skin and fire me up does not mean that I am lacking at all; oh the contrary. My focus is razor sharp and I am in the zone... I have watched what you have done in other matches, and prepared myself for any sort of dirty tricks that you try to bring to the ring.
[Hayden scoots a bit forward towards the end of the crate and continues to speak into the camera]
Just because I was answering questions does not mean I am hiding behind some sort of reporter, that is just plain stupid to assume. If you think she was asking softball questions, than why don't YOU come out here and ask me some questions Prince? Huh? I have NO issues answering whatever anti-American or anti-Canadian propaganda, bull questions that you have. I know that you get these fans riled up with your hate filled speech, but trying to rile me up and have me off of my game? No, no, no... ain't gonna happen, Prince.
And the fact that you still keep up bringing up that I am Canadian... what does it matter? You seem to be talking in circles and repeating the same points. You are better because you're a Prince? Got it. You will cheat to win? Noted. You hate USA and Canada? Fine. The thing that is different between the two of us is that you talk to make opponents off of their game inside of the ring; I, on the other hand, make an impact INSIDE of the ring where my own skills is what wins matches for me.
The idea that you are a savior? Pure comedy. You want to end me? Bring it. Bring everything that you have, I am not afraid. I knew that getting into this business that my career could end any day, in any city, during any match; and that is something I have come to terms with a LONG time ago.
And this ideal that you HAVE to cheat to win, that is something that people with inferior skills and an overall lack of fortitude say and do. You can try to cheat or get weapons involved, but in the end we both know who the victor will be... I will. I know it. You know it. The fans know it. I will.
[Hayden slides off of the crate, grabs his bag from the floor, and makes his way to the locker room]
