Hayden Phoenix coming off of a statement match at From The Ashes. In the first RWD show, he issued an open challenge and it was John Carter that answered that challenge. A previous tag match teammate, Carter was a respectable opponent and someone that also was trying to make a name and a place for himself. Unfortunately, it was not Carter's night and Hayden Phoenix proved to be the better man in the ring that night. After coming off of his first Pay Per View match, Phoenix learns that we is going up against Prince Abdullah Assad, another man coming off of a win at From The Ashes. The difference is that the Prince chose to win with a fireball instead of being able to beat his opponent one on one. After seeing the Prince's promo in which he spits on the Canadian flag, Hayden Phoenix takes to the camera to address his opponent and their upcoming match.
[The camera opens with Hayden Phoenix standing with Sarah Conner backstage. There is a backdrop to the interview with the RWD logo quite prominent. Hayden looks a bit different than normal, his playful demeanor that he had with Carter and Ray Harlan in weeks past is gone and a serious look has overcome him]
Sarah: First off I want to congratulate you coming off of a big win over John Carter. You are securing yourself as a rising star here in RWD.
Hayden: Thank you Sarah.
Sarah: After issuing an open challenge and John Carter accepting, you were able to earn a win at From The Ashes in your Pay Per View Debut. This week you are facing off against another man that also picked up a win at From The Ashes, albeit a win that has some controversy. You are facing off again Prince Abdullah Assad, a man that beat "The Canadian Icon" Kruzer. And he seems to be making it a bit personal, going as far as to spit on the Canadian Flag.
Hayden: Yeah, that is the thing about guys like The Prince. He likes to get a rise out of people. Do what needs to be done to get them off of their game. I cannot speak for Kruzer or anyone else in that locker room... I simply speak for me. And The Prince can do what we wants to try to knock me off of my game, because it won't work. I am here to win, and that is exactly what I intend on doing. I know the type of dirty games that he likes to play, so I plan on staying on my toes at all times. I won't let him out of my sights during the match because I know that he will do anything to secure a win... including a fireball.
Sarah: A fireball... that is exactly how he was able to win over Kruzer at From The Ashes.
Hayden: Yes, and what a cheap win that was. But why should I, or the fans, expect any less from him? He is an entitled ass that thinks winning a match by any means necessary makes him some sort of man or "savior". Well he is going to need to pray to Allah as much as he can, because there will be NO ONE there to save him after I am finished with him.
Sarah: And what about his spitting on your flag?
Hayden: The citizens of Canada are proud people, but we are not violent like people in other countries. I am not going to come out here and call him a terrorist or talk about extremists in his religion... I am not that guy. He uses those type of newsworthy terms to bring an anger to the fans and his opponent... and I am not going to allow him to rile me up. I know that at the end of the day, his minds games and his bag of tricks are not enough to make up for the lack of opponent and man that he is inside of the ring. I will walk away from the match the winner because I am the better athlete and the better man.
Sarah: I want to wish--
Hayden: There is no wishing Sarah, I appreciate any vote of confidence, but I know that The Prince does not have what it takes to beat me inside of that squared circle. He can talk about getting no reaction but I do get a reaction... my win is a reaction to my hard work and dedication. I love the fans and I am glad that they chant my name when I come out there
[The fans in the arena can be heard chanting PHOE-NIX...PHOE...NIX...PHOE...NIX]
Hayden: But I know that the best reaction for them is to beat my opponent. The Prince had better stop worrying about me, or else he soon will be a prince without a crown.
[Hayden walks in front of the camera and past Sarah Conner as she ends the interview without him]
Sarah: You heard it here first folks, Hayden Phoenix versus Prince Abdullah Assad... this will be one match to keep an eye on!
