[The scene opens as Hayden Phoenix is walking down a hall backstage. A camera crew walks up upon him hoping to get a word in. Phoenix stops, drops his dufflebag and stuff on the ground, and looks into the camera with a look of pure and utter disgust]
Apparently I am in a match against two jersey boys, and one has a giant man crush on the other. And the fact that your lady is more interested in two other people in this match than her own boyfriend... what a couple the both of you surely make. And the fact that Dennis Driver would rather make jokes about being serious instead of actually being serious is the reason why Carter and I will win this match. We are focused on the task at hand instead of rubbing down ourselves with sun tan lotion and staring at mirrors. It is pathetic that I am in a match with these two guys, I thought that I would be able to see some better talent here RWD. That is precisely why I issued my open challenge; maybe someone towards to top of the ladder will see me for the talent and skills that I have, and will actually make the RWD brass know that I mean business.
[Phoenix wrenches his wrists as they are taped up. He makes sure the tape is holding tight as he continues to address his opponents]
And the fact that Dennis Driver is fighting for himself and whatever the hell his "bae" means, than so be it. I am fighting for a win, because there is nothing short of a win that will even be considered an option. DeFalco and Driver are much more interested in being chumps than champs, and at the end of the day I am not here to waste my own time. The minute that the bell rings, Carter and myself will show those two what real talent looks like and why it pays to take this industry seriously.
[Phoenix grabs his stuff from the floor and just before he walks away, he looks back at the camera.]
And a special note to Driver's little girlfriend, watch out because Driver may cheat on you as well... but with his pal, Ryan DeFalco.
[Phoenix continues down the hall away from the camera crew]
