There was not a lot that Lucy was good at in this world, but wrestling was one of the things she had excelled at. It was also the only thing she had ever really made an effort to be good at. Proving the age old philosophy all teachers have “if you actually applied you’d be good at it”. Yeah right, Math is STILL not something that Lucy was going to pick up no matter how hard she tried. ANYWAYS. Lucy was good at one thing and that was wrestling and that’s all she cared to be good at. And since she was good people cheered her and since people cheered her she got a contract with MSW and since MSW closed down she got a contract with RWD. So that is how we got where we are today.
Lucy was a little upset, honestly, when MSW decided to close its doors. She was just getting started and she and built up a pretty good fan base, she had started working her way towards a women’s title shot. Then they closed there doors and Lucy didn’t know what she was going to do. The beauty of RWD was that she could pick up where she left off and that was exactly what she was going to do. She was gunning for a shot at Artemis’ championship and she was going to do whatever she had to in order to show that she was deserving of that shot. Her momentum had already started to build, it was just about keeping it going now for Elliott Channing to see.
After all, Lucy was THAT close to winning her first match in RWD. So freaking close. Of course when you're up against three other extremely talented women things can go south pretty quickly and you are left with a loss. Lucy wasn't going to cry over it, she was just going to adjust for next time and continue to move forward. Because that is what she did. She made herself better and she moved forward. She had always been that way in fact. Perhaps because of the way she was raised or maybe because of the fact that she was so competitive that she constantly wanted to be on the top of the ladder. Either way Lucy was improving all the time. She had even started quite a roll for herself in MSW, not a loss to her name. She planned on keeping that true at least in one-on-one matches.
Currently Lucy was in St. Louis, her home town. She was going to make her way down to Atlanta in the upcoming week but for now she was doing a little work at her old training grounds in St. Louis. Her boyfriend, Max, was a trainer there now and as a favor she agreed to come in and talk to the trainees really help them out and answer questions. She felt weird being in that position considering the fact that she had been in there shoes only a few years ago. So there she stood, a smile on her face and her hands on her hips as she looked out at the 8 boys and 1 girl that were apart of Max’s new crew.
“Guys, I’m really excited to have Miss Lucy Wylde with us today. I’m sure most of you are familiar with her work around the St. Louis area and with MSW and now RWD.” Most of the trainees nodded their heads. “She is here to give us a few pointers and answer questions. I’ll let her give you a little schpel and then you can ask her questions.” Max nodded to Lucy as her verbally handed her the baton.
“Thank you Maxwell. As he said I am Lucy Wylde, and I am currently signed with RWD. I used to train just like you guys in the ring that you see here. It hurt, a lot. But I pushed through it and now I’m living my dream. I know that you guys probably have some days where you think you don’t want to do it anymore and that’s normal. Especially when this guy is making you run the ropes for what seems like hours.” She laughed and so did the trainees knowing it was true. “What I’ll say is that if you guys really want it, it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better.” Lucy nods her head.
“You’re going to have a lot of people trying to break you down, make you not want to do it because a lot of people don’t want new people to succeed because they’re worried about their spots being taken, but you guys just gotta stay respectful and push forward. Show them that you aren’t going to be messed with.” Lucy nodded. “Also just have fun. Because if you aren’t having fun in that ring then you shouldn’t be doing it.” She looked to Max who smiled.
“Exactly. Okay, who has questions?” A couple of hands shot up and Max pointed to one of the boys. “Luke?”
“I was just wondering how do you get into a company like RWD?”
“Good question, Luke. It takes a lot of hard work and persistence. You’re gonna get told no a lot. You’re going to get told that you’re too this or too that and there will be various reasons why people won’t want to take you. You just have to keep pushing forward and showing that you’re worth the chance. For me MSW was my break and that’s a smaller company than RWD. But they gave me a chance to really show who I was and what I could do and when I was given that chance people started to want to come to watch me and they wanted me to win and when you can get the crowd behind you that’s when your chances get better.” Lucy nodded.
“Thanks.” Luke added.
“Jenna?” Max pointed to the girl.
“Do you have any suggestions for a female wrestler to break in?”
“Another great question. Being a woman in this business is at the same time a huge advantage and a huge disadvantage. You’re going to have an easier time getting booked on shows because you’re a woman and there aren’t as many people in competition with you. On the other hand there are a lot of places that don't even have women wrestlers, they don’t have women’s matches and when they do they want you to go up against this random girlfriend of one of the wrestlers that just decided she wanted to do it. You’re going to face a lot of guys, you’re going to face a lot of girls that don’t know what they’re doing and you’re going to face a lot of sexism. All that you can do is get really freaking good at it and then people will want to book you for you and that’s what matters.” Lucy smiled, happy with her answer and Jenna seemed happy too as she let off a smile back.
“Thank you.” She said.
“Martin?” Max pointed to another one of the guys.
“What’s it like to perform in front of a huge crowd?” Martin asked wide-eyed.
“It feels amazing. You guys will see once you get the chance to get into the ring and really wrestle. And honestly it doesn’t matter the amount of people in the crowd. It could be ten it could be ten thousand it is still going to give you the biggest thrill of your life. If you really love this then that is what you’re shooting for. You want to hear the crowd cheer you or boo you, you want to have all their eyes on you and you want to show off all that hard work. So in other words it feels un-real.” Lucy smiled again.
The questions continued for a little while longer and then they got into the ring and Lucy helped with a little bit of chain wrestling. As the training ended the trainees left and Max and Lucy were still there.
“Thanks for coming, Lucy.” He said with sincerity, giving her a kiss.
“Of course. I am always down to help and it’s fun to see these kids with all this passion. It kind of forces you to remember how you were back then.” She laughed.
“Right? I think about it all the time. They really look up to you, I seriously couldn’t make Jenna shut up about it.” He rolled his eyes.
“You’re so lucky you have a famous girlfriend.” She winked with a laugh. They then made their way out of the training facility.
Our scene opens up with Lucy standing in front of a large sign marked with the RWD logo. She has a shirt on that reads "Things are gonna get Wylde". She has a smile on her face and her hands on her hips.

"ALLLLL RIGHT PARTAYY PEOPLEEE!" Lucy shouted out as she waved her hands "in the air like she just don't care". She brought them down with a smile on her face. "I know that all of you have missed my little vlogs. Can you call them vlogs? I don't care, I will. Anyways, I know that you guys have missed them! But have no fear cause they are coming back with a vengeance! Just like me!" She pointed to herself with her thumb. “Anyways, as you might have been able to tell I am now apart of RWD and viva la revolution!! I am so pumped to be apart of this place. It has already been amazing. True, I did lose in the first match and they just handed a freaking title to the egotistical Artemis Kaiser, but they have also been giving a lot of spotlight to the women of RWD and that is a rarity in this business. So I can’t really complain.” Lucy shrugged her shoulders.
“This week though it isn’t going to be me and three other women competing. This week it is just one-on-one, mono-e-mono, un-a-un….french doesn’t work that well.” Lucy contemplated this for only a second. “Me verse the “Living dead girl”, Jezzabel. I’ll start off by saying…YIIIKES.” Lucy lets out a breath. “This girl is 6 foot, she is undead apparently and also has trouble remembering names. What could be more scary than that?” Sarcasm. “I get it, Jezzabel, you want to belittle me and make it seem like I don’t matter by calling me by a different name. The problem with that is you end up looking like you just plain don’t know what you’re doing or talking about. You were talking yourself up, getting real scary like and then all of the sudden you tell this girl Laura that you’re coming for her. Really ruins the mood.” Lucy shook her head with pity. “I’ll get over it though.” She shrugs.
“What I won't get over is letting myself down in my first real opportunity to show Elliott Channing that I deserve a shot at Artemis Kaiser's Women's Championship. I have a lot to say about her being handed the title but I can reserve that for another time. Because right now this is about me and Jezzabel and I really don't want to piss someone like Jezzabel off because I think that she might have the capability to send me to hell? I'm not positive about that. Then again I'm also not super religious so I don't necessarily believe in hell..." Lucy got lost in thought for a second. She shook her head getting her out of it. "Anyways, I don't want to make Jezzabel mad, but I might have to because I definitely don't plan on losing my very first one-on-one match in RWD. In fact I very much plan on winning. Before MSW closed I was working my way up the ladder towards that women's championship. I was working hard to get people to believe in me. And now here I am in RWD and I feel like I need to start over again. I'm willing to do that. I'm willing to go back down to the bottom and push myself once again towards the top, but if I have to do it I'm definitely going to do it with style. And I don't think anyone can deny that beating a woman of Jezzabel's stature would be "doing it with style"."
"This woman is an absolute beast, after all. I have to admit I've never seen her in a ring but just judging by her character I'm going to be in for a beating if I can't get the upper-hand quickly. So that's my plan. I'm going to go in I'm going to give everything I've got. I'm going to overcome Jezzabel and then I'm going to set my sites on Artemis and her women's championship. I will take anything in my path and I will make the best of it and Jezzabel will be the prime example. I know you think you're going to destroy me Jezzabel, make an example out of me. But the opposite will be happening and I will be the one making an example. I don't need to be scary or make threats I'm just going to get in that ring and do what I do best. Wrestle. So Jezzabel, you can try and "lay waste" to me but you're not going to succeed. Things are about to get Wylde and you won't be able to handle it." Lucy nodded confidently. She then pointed to her t-shirt showing that it said the same thing. She then smirked as the scene faded.
