Hayden Phoenix has had his ups and downs in RWD. He has lost two in a row... in a tag match against Bryce and Grimm, and against one of the four men in the ring this week, Prince Assad. Phoenix started out strong going 3-1 in his first four matches, but things have gone downhill since then. He faces two previous opponents that he lost to in the past; the aforementioned Assad and someone he considers a buddy, Ray Harlan. The fourth man in this web of a match is Kruzer, a fellow Canadian that Phoenix helps to pickup a win over the Prince. In order to get back to winning ways, Hayden needs a big win here and it is going to take some planning to figure out how to win as he only has a quarter of a chance to win.
Phoenix: Sunday Night Combat was a mixed bag tonight... Fallon King and myself were knocked off by a couple of dysfunctional partners that decided that cheating was the best way to win, but I had my eye on a bigger price as Assad was taking on a fellow Canadian again. I know that if Assad fought fair, Kruzer would have no issue taken care of that chump. But we all know the type of guy that Prince Assad is... classless, dishonest, and cheating. Assad is the one that I want in this match... I have no interest in taking Harlan or Kruzer on. And I do want to make it known to Kruzer that I simply had the best interests of everyone when I came out there to stop Assad from going ahead with his cheating ways.
[Phoenix grabs the edge of the towel, and throws it down to the ground. He slowly begins to unravel the tape from his fingers and hands]
Phoenix: Management put my up with a new tag partner this week, and I am getting sick and tired of it. I am tired of having to slosh away at the bottom, thrown into random matches. I am getting a bit fed up, and that is why I need to walk away the winner of this match. I need to prove a point... a point that they are wasting a talent with these throw away, tag team matches. I need to be taking part in important matches. I am to be valued, and they need to see that. I had my chance against Assad, and he cheated to win. I called him out and this is what I get? A Fatal Four Way match? Maybe with a win here, I will get what I want for a change. I hate being out spoken and going above my place in this company... but they have got to see what is happening. People like Assad, Bryce, Grimm, and many others cannot get away with this... even if I have to take it into my own hands. If I have to involve myself more, than I will do that... I am SICK and TIRED of being cheated... and seeing those that rightfully should win being cheated left and right... if I have to make it my sole purpose in RWD... than so be it.
[Hayden stands up and tosses the excess tape to the side, slides off his elbow pads, and looks directly at the camera]
Phoenix: I am here in RWD to make a difference... and that is something I intend on sticking to. If management won't make a difference, than I will do it. I will take the job into my own hands...
[Hayden turns his back to the camera as he reaches into his locker. The camera fades to black]
