✖NEXT MATCH✖ 30 Minute Ironwoman Match for the RWD Women's Championship Match vs Artemis Kaiser
✖Sorry. Something must be wrong with my ears. Did I just hear that you will end me? Again. Gosh. That is the worst thing about a broken record, sometimes it gorws on you. While it was messing with your head at first, after a while you just get used to it. Sure it bores you and the rest of the world, but none than less. Arty. Miss Kaiser. Paper Champion. There was a wide field of things that could have been said in a promo, yet it was like a Dèjà vu. The same ten lines as always. Shawna can't hurt me. I will end the mountain. I will start my glory with spilling her blood. Yawn. While there was a little bit of hope in the beginning, that was not the case anymore. Artemis had changed. The fire was gone. So was the confidence. Oh guns down, the girl was cocky as hell.- but people did just not buy it anymore. When someone calls you a loser again and again, the words just lose their effect. The motto of the week seemed to be, Masks down. The glamour was slowly fading, along with the Champion4Life Gimmick. Shawna had not learnt a lot from her father, most things too cruel to use on a daily base. But one thing was Patience. If you wanted something so badly that it gave you sleepless nights, it was worth waiting. Passion was resting in all of us. It was a hunter. Some would die running away, others would give in.- moving to the top of the food chain. Evolution was necessary, yet it was a cruel monster. If a thing worked once, did not mean it will work again. Right Artemis? This is not 8th Grade. This is not some backyard. This is rWd, where legends get born.- and wannabes get sent home. Or quit for that matter. So what's it gonna be? Woman up and make it happen, or keep talking yourself in a corner. Digging a hole so deep that not even maggots bother coming to find your corpse. We played nice. We played dirty. Now is the time to stop playing, wouldn't you agree former Champion? I am just dieing to have a good time. And to quote a lunatic fringe that loves to wear leather jackets and makes funny faces: "You can say whatever you want about me. I don't care. Cause if I have proven anything is that I'm a survivor."✖

There are times where you have to make a final decision. Which is not the biggest problem, but you gotta live with that decision. Showing her opponent that she was indeed the bigger person. Going as far as saying sorry for something that she did not see as an issue in the first place. For what? To receive the same predictable reaction as always. If that was what Artemis wanted, fine. But Shawna could not live with it like that.- it was not her thing. She did not waltz down to the ring, playing a person. Pretending she was someone that could have been ripped out of a HeMan comic, yeah that was not even a new joke. What is it Artemis? That was the question, still. So the kick to the head did not hurt, good. It did not cause any damage, good. But it for sure did one thing more painful than the previous mentioned. Scratch that huge ego. But that once again means we are drifting off, my bad. It is time to burry this subject once and for all. With a name like From the Ashes, an idea was spreading inside her head. Preaching about honesty and being yourself, she had to go down that road. It was not classy. It was not fancy. But then again this was no Musical either. No rehearsal for a Daily Soap. Did anyone pass that note to Arty? No. Of course not. Otherwise her effort for a match like that would have been just a bit bigger.

LOCATION: Kansas City, Missouri
CAMERA STATUS: ON/OFF Camera
Anyone ever watched the Addams family? Not the awful movies, but the classical Tv Series. Right. If so then you remember the morbid feeling you gathered from that rather special family. Maybe it was relive your childhood week, but Shawna Martinez was in the mood for some of that. After watching several episodes on Netflix she had the perfect idea. Quickly explaining her plan to Frank, he was laughing his ass off. Artemis deserved her best shot, even if the woman did not pay her back the same respect. While they were in the car nothing much was said, she was getting her Morticia mode on. Wait? Is there anything like that? Well, the world was about finding out. *snip snip*
The scene would open with one huge word: MORGUE. And while it was still daytime, the sun had already decided to go down.- allowing darkness to spread. They had been waiting outside for a few moments, till someone that could indeed have been called Lurch, opened the massive door. Damn it. He did not look all too healthy, seriously. But then again what you expect? Working with those clients, spending all of your time inside. The giant did greet them rather friendly, exchanging some words with Frank. Inviting them both in, babbling something about the weather change. Shawna would only listen with one ear, too much was she fascinated with this building. Its history. And the atmosphere. After bringing them down to the preparation room he would excuse himself, getting back to do his job. A shiver ran through her body, do I really wanna do that? Ready or Not, right.
Shawna Martinez: ''You notice where we are Artemis? This is where it all will end. Well not literally but you get the idea. Didn't you end me? Haven't you made sure my career was over, saving me from the pity it was. Take a bath in my blood and so on. I heard you precious. It is not like you are decent with your message, you are more like a scream queen. Demanding and never satisfied. You were on top of the world, you had it all. Fans. Fame and maybe even a bunch of decent friends. That was till you decided that this was enough. I got news for you, even though i know how much you hate being lectured, it is never enough. At points we grow tired, but it will not end like that. I dreamt of you Artemis, in the little time I was able to sleep.- you have been on my mind. It is quite a compliment, cause normally i dream of Italy. The endless landscape and the history of this beautiful country. But as of late it always was you. And the road you chose for yourself, the highway is about becoming a lot more bumpy.''
Her fingers were running over some metal table, nearly you could call this gesture gentle. Not too far from them was another table, but with a white blanket covering something. Or better someone. She was fully aware that there were three people in this room, one just didnt dance at this party anymore. Poetic.
Shawna Martinez: ''In our life's we travel a lot and it seems we never reach the destination we are aiming for. You think I am all about big words and fancy promos, isn't that something you said. Ignorance is indeed a bliss. Otherwise you probably would be quite ashamed of yourself. I am not perfect. Hell i am the first one to admit that i have issues. Nothing bad about that. The world was not build perfect, so why would anyone long for that. Exactly. We get up every morning or afternoon following our daily routine, so that at the end of the day we can say this.- we survived. This is by no means a sprint, its a marathon. Life itself will offer you chances, you hear that Artemis. So once you get your head out of your ass, you will probably see a bit more clear. It must annoy the hell out of you that you just didn't put your all in our match. I do not speak of the Tag Team Match, no back in mSw. You won the title. You made a name for yourself, injuring another professional wrestler. And then?''
She would take a small pause looking over to Frank, who was leaning against the massive wall.- nodding his head. He was getting the best out of her. Always. The light in here probably wasn't the best, but maybe that just added to the dramatic.
Shawna Martinez: ''Nothing. A big deal of Nothing. I do not speak of your career right now, i speak of your own well being. Deep inside you know I am right, I have been right for months. It started to eat you alive. It was nagging inside of you, you failed. You did everything right along the way, but you still failed. True dominance means you have to know what it means to be dominated. You slowed me down. You made me reconsider a lot of things, but you did not end me. Not a tons of threats and jokes can change that fact, you did fail. And that is the reason why at the Supercard you will find out once and for all, that i am not funny person. The joke really is on you. And if you do not get it right this time, it will be your mind that drives you... HERE.''
Shawna showed the rest of the room. The tables. The intruments. The huge fire. Licking over her lips.
Shawna Martinez: ''The first step into your head, was easy. Cause you opened the gate super wide Artemis, underneath all this cursing and joking.- there was a wound. You broke it open and it was impossible to close it. Someone like you is used to greatness, so it is hard to deal with fucking up. Blame yourself sugar. But it got worse when you allowed Elliot handing you that title, what did the people think? Fighting Champion? I doubt it. Inside of you darkness was spreading, long before we met again. You did the very thing that I have expected from you, act. I did never mean you any harm, that is a huge difference between you and me. I go out there to perform, to entertain the people and yeah myself. For you it seems life or death. It consumes you. Pride is not a bad thing, it is important if you wanna be someone. But if that is the only thing that keeps you going.- you have a massive problem. Aside from the obvious. You know nothing about me, still not. After all those months passing, right my Queen? Cause you got it all under control. You are our ruler. The leader of the pack.''
This time she would stop, letting out a deep and dark laughter. Walking closer to the oven where the fire was burning bright, a wave of heat meeting her skin. With shaking hands she opened the door, staring into the fire for a moment.
Shawna Martinez: ''There are rules in this society. How you dress. How you behave. That you shall not make out with your dogs. Okay. The last one is really gross, but apart from that.- there are no rules that matter. You can do your thing, I will do mine. But and now we hit a crossroad, what is my thing? Big words, big muscles and no brain? Does Shawna Martinez have anything left? A desire that drives her crazy. Oh gosh, I wouldn't even know where to start people. In my case it has always been Mind over Matter instead of Tits over Money. A little something I have learnt from Shannon Summers, added to a long list. I have had my fair share of insane people surrounding me, which was not always the worst. You learn to see things their way. You know that the sky really is the limit, if you just believe. What do you believe in Artemis? Your Reputation? Your Legacy? Or maybe the Fact that you have beaten me before. All of those things are good and golden, but it seems you keep missing the point. There is only one thing you gotta believe in.. Yourself.''
Once again she would look at Frank, noding into his direction. He was responding the same way, getting a pair of super large gloves on. A moment later he had left the room. Shawna would return to the fire, warming her hands. Or at least pretend to do so. The sound of her husband returning was music in her ears, causing her to look over her shoulder. Awesome. Mister Washington was bringing in a wonderful dark coffin, probably mahagony. He would put it right in front of the oven, walking back to the shadows.
Shawna Martinez: ''Darling? Why the gloves?''
Frank Washington: ''Good question... .''
Shawna Martinez: ''Now people will think you did something gross... you did not, right?''
He couldn't resist the urge to laugh, shaking his head. Shawna would simply shrug her shoulders, putting her hand on top of the coffin. From a side table she would get a black shirt, putting it right next to her hand. When the camera would focus, it was easy to see what it read. PaperChampion. Artemis Kaiser. We can me comedians too.
Shawna Martinez: ''Now. What does that mean? To i hand out death threats now too, nah. Too much of a clichè if you ask me. At one point you had me, down on my knees. It was close to be over, but that was then. You made me catch up with my demons, allowing them to take over. A round of applause for that. But at a certain point i had them all silenced and slain, to return to my duty. And that is you. No matter how many people you erase on your way up, there will always be another coming. You broke my will. You broke my neck. But now the ONLY thing left to break is.. YOU.''
In a slow manner she would move the coffin, causing the wood meeting the fire. The noise of burning fabric combined with small clouds of smoke was catching her full attention. The focus of the camera was now on the ovenhole and the golden letters on the coffin. It read, Artemis Kaiser.
Shawna Martinez: ''At from the Ashes only one can survive, while the other goes down in flames. The gates of Hell have been opened wide for the longest and they reserved you a seat at the table. So bring your best shot, I will do the same. The fire will lick over your skin, burning away all doubts. This is what people will remember when someone mentions your name. The girl that wanted too much. The girl that thought she was riding a pale horse in a war that could not be won. Or just that, the girl that could not get the job done. We maybe will burn together, but you will rot all alone. Find Peace. Finally.''
Slamming the door close with that well known smile on her face. Frank suddenly walking over to take his rightful spot right next to her, the light of the oven making their faces look demonic. Fitting.
