It was almost time.
Bob and weave, Artemis.
She'll play into your hands.
The setting? If you haven’t followed Artemis Kaiser, you wouldn’t know that she basically lives in a gym. She wants to constantly get better. Have you ever been told that you couldn’t know it all? Artemis believes that to be untrue. You can learn anything about one thing. For her, it was fighting. She wanted to know every style. She didn’t have to use them, but she wanted an advanced knowledge. It would aid her in being to take down anyone. BJJ? She had a plan for that. Karate? She learned about that. Thailand Rat Style? She would find out if it was real, and then learn about that too. If there was a library for fighting, she would be its biggest user.
She was unleashing a barrage into a punching bag. Her face didn’t show its same fury as of late. It had traces of grief. She continued to lay into it, thinking of last week. Shawna got her hands on her, but she got her hands on her. Artemis got a few hits in, but that was the issue. Throughout her time here, she wanted to evade Shawna. She wanted Shawna to muster up so much rage that stupidity would soon infect it. But over time, Artemis had allowed the words around her to get to her.
She didn’t earn the belt in front of her. As a matter of fact, she felt dirty carrying it around. She won her first championship by breaking someone’s neck. She won another through a hard fought war. But this belt that she carries around with so much “pride” was given to her. She distinctively remember that she told one Kat Jones that she never had anything given to her. She had to fight for everything. She was never comfortable with being handed something.
The comments of her being a “paper champion” did hurt. Inside of her soul, she did feel like Frank Washington and others were right. She picked up the belt, gave it a careful look, and then put it back down. She sighed heavily. She beat Marie Porter, but she didn’t feel at all vindicated. She had defeated all three of the MSW original females, but she still felt bitter. This week, she had ample opportunity to end Shawna Martinez early, but she didn’t feel the motivation to do so.
No, she wanted to end this pitiful feud once and for all. She would do it at From the Ashes. SNC #4 is bound to be interesting, not only because of the main event.
“Is it too soon?” the scene starts out with Artemis sitting inside of the gym. A towel draped around her neck, her belt in her hands, and a scowl on her face. “This week, I was given the opportunity to face off against Shawna Martinez. This comes after an announcement of our match at From the Ashes. So thus, I ask, is it too soon for Shawna Martinez to catch the beatdown of her life?” Artemis said, wiping the sweat off of her face. “Personally, I want to wait until From the Ashes, but this match might jeopardize my undefeated status.”
“Last week, I finally silenced all of the critics by taking out Marie Porter. Oh, I was not talking about the people calling me a ‘paper champion’ out of jealously. I’ll speak on that later. I am talking about all of the people who didn’t believe that I could beat Marie Porter. You all used to sit there and say that I was going to lose to Marie Porter at MSW War. It never came to be. Then again, it was never meant to be. Marie Porter would have fallen to the best women’s wrestler in all existence. It was destined, but someone threw a monkey wrench into destiny, and screwed it all up.”
“Skip to next week. We were in the same situation all over again. Marie Porter vs. Artemis Kaiser,” she said, looking up. She reminisced on the hype up to that match. “And how did it end? Exactly as I promised. I kicked her lights out and held up this belt high in the air. It would have happened in MSW; it totally happened here,” she said, but a look of bitterness came onto her face. “But it doesn’t feel right.”
“Is this belt honestly something that I want? It seems at every turn, I got another critic. Frank Washington, for example, is one of them. He says that I am not worthy of this championship. But I just think he needs an outlet. A man getting his ass handed him as much as he has needs an outlet. He can’t yell at his wife. That’d make him look as bad as Garland is trying to make him to be. Unfortunately, I do not get the pleasure of being able to tussle with him. He gets to evade one of these lethal kicks of mine. However, his wife…is in danger.”
“Shawna Martinez-Washington is going to be looking to try to annihilate me this week. She wants to get her hands around my throat and break like I did hers. She has no flair for the dramatic or any sense of patience. She is rushing down to the ring every chance she gets to try to beat me down, but last week, that was the closest she got to. It was also the closest that she got to being put down like the filthy animal that she is.”
“When she put her hands on me, I put my hands on her. And if records mean anything, my hands are a lot deadlier. So did her rage and jealously get the better of her? Is she not thinking straight? I question myself on this often. But this week, I am going to be not only getting my first chance to face off against Shawna Martinez. I am going to be doing something unprecedented. Look forward to it, everyone. You get to see the next chapter in this story come to fruition.”
“Spoiler alert, however, it is not going to be pretty. Shawna is not going to win this. So, my partner, Assad, might be the best man in the world. He is not the best wrestler either. In fact, he seems to only win in rather odd situations. It is hardly my issue. I am solely responsible to what happens to me and me alone. I have already spoken to him on the matters of what to do. He can try to do all his religious affairs to Washington, while I just bide my time. This match is merely a preview to me.”
“From The Ashes is when it is going to be Shawna vs. myself. And if all goes according to plan, then this match will be the biggest one to happen. It is not going to be just beneficial to the company. It will aid me. I get to finally put Shawna Martinez to rest on the big stage with the biggest circumstances. And you know what? She will be all to blame for this. Just like she has to blame herself for getting her neck broken by yours truly. She shouldn’t have strived to make me so belligerent towards her.”
“If she hadn’t done that, I wouldn’t had to break her neck. I would have just taken her championship, beat her again, and then move along to what occurred in MSW. Now we’re here in RWD, with her being the hero that no one asked for. Sensible people know that she deserved what she got. Artemis Kaiser is the hero of this story. I am not sure why none of the RWD fans see this. Did people get dumber by making the switch? I am not sure. It is quite horrendous to think about.”
“But any idiot can see that Artemis Kaiser is playing her cards right. She is just watching Shawna Martinez mess up. And you know what is sad? She already messed up. She decided to show her face in my company again. She decided that she wanted to try to make a statement out of me.”
"And you know what I do to people who makes mistakes around me? I break their damn necks."
